Requirement Overview Painting services will be primarily for execution of sustainment, restoration and modernization (SRM) type projects. The Contractor will furnish all materials, labor, plant, tools, equipment, transportation, services and incidentals necessary to complete the requirements of each Task Order. Projects will vary by type, scope and complexity, requiring the use of various building trades for related finishes and minor construction.
Period of Performance One-year basic period with four 12-month option periods.
Task Order period of performance to be determined for each individual task order.
Brief Description of Requirement (Including delivery schedule, any problems/risk) Services will be primarily for execution of sustainment, restoration and modernization (SRM) type projects. Contractor will, however, have the capability to construct whole new building projects not to exceed $750K. The Contractor will furnish all materials, labor, plant, tools, equipment, transportation, services and incidentals necessary to complete the requirements of each Task Order. Projects will vary by type, scope and complexity, requiring the use of various and multiple building trades and related technical services. The Work of each project will be executed using experienced installers, workers, established trade practices, industry standards, and manufacturer recommendations/instructions to provide fully functional facilities, systems, equipment and assemblies suitable for their intended use and in strict compliance with the Government Design and approved supplemental design (where required). Technical and performance issues may arise due to the location of Altus AFB and the past difficulty acquiring a fully qualified contractor as well as contractor personnel. There is a risk that the selected contractor will have difficulty locating qualified sub-contracting personnel. History has shown the last two SABER contractors have run into this issue many time during their contract tenure. Risk of delay of project if experienced subcontractors are not found and possible issues with a delay in getting subcontracts awarded.
