Collier-Seminole Monitoring Well Installation Services
DEP Agreement Number CN204, Task Assignment Number 33
TASK 1: PROJECT PLANNING
Description: Wood will provide project planning services for the installation of up to 11 monitoring wells within Collier-Seminole State Park (SP). As part of this task, Wood will conduct a one-day field reconnaissance to see the 11 proposed well locations. Wood assumes a state park employee will provide access to the various well locations and/or accompany Wood staff to these locations. A hand auger boring will be conducted at each location to determine the depth to refusal/rock. If rock is encountered within less than 10 feet below ground surface, FDEP will have to hire a well driller to complete the monitoring well installation under separate contract. To that end, Wood will prepare a scope of work (SOW) that FDEP can use to bid the project. The SOW will include a map with well locations, desired well dimensions (depth, diameter, screen interval), and a list of components the driller will be responsible for such as obtaining appropriate well installation permit from Collier County and the completion of a well installation report for each monitoring well. Based on the accessibility of each proposed well location, which will be determined during the field visit, special drill rig equipment may be required (such as tracks) and will also be a part of the SOW. Prior to the field visit, Wood will prepare a Health and Safety Plan
(HASP).
Deliverable: The deliverable will include a Scope of Work in pdf format to be emailed to the
Collier-Seminole SP park manager.
Performance Measure: Deliverables will be reviewed by the Department to confirm they are complete, accurate, and timely.
