Proposal for Professional Engineering Services Tenoroc – Structure Replacement - Revised Wood Project No. 600408.12

Dear Ms. Rhian:

Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. (Wood) is pleased to provide you with this revised proposal for professional engineering services. This revised proposal added the Engineers Opinion of Probable Construction Cost Estimate to the scope and budget. We understand our task is to provide engineering and permitting services for the outfall structure replacement design for BDN-T-C at the Tenoroc Fish Management Area.

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) will provide all required survey for the project area. The existing Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) Environmental Resource Permit (ERP) number 47011886.002 will need to be modified for this project. Please review the proposal summary and deliverables, and man-hour documentation.

FDEP Tenoroc - Outfall Replacement Contract Number 204, Task Assignment – 27

SUBTASK 1: PRELIMINARY DESIGN

Description:

1A Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. (Wood) will review survey data provided by Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) of the existing outfall configuration, and the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) permitted system (ERP# 47011886.002) from 2007. Wood will compile data to determine the hydrology of the basins contributing to the existing outfall as best as possible. We will develop an Interconnected Pond Routing model to simulate the existing permitted design, existing conditions, and determine the best system design to prevent future failures in the area. We will develop a technical memorandum summarizing our proposed design including mark-ups on the existing permitted plans and necessary sketches. We will meet with the FDEP and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) representatives to go over our technical memorandum.

1B Wood will set up and attend a pre-application meeting with the SWFWMD. This meeting will discuss the original design, the past changes, and our proposed recommended design.

1C Wood will develop preliminary construction drawing to reflect either the replacement the existing structure, or the addition of a secondary structure to prevent failure of the existing culvert in the future. An engineer’s opinion of probable construction cost estimate will be developed and provided to the FDEP and FWC representative.

Deliverables:

1A Electronic submittal of a PDF of Technical Memorandum summarizing data collection and drainage calculations, and sketches.

1B SWFWMD pre-application meeting minutes.

1C Electronic submittal of a PDF of the Preliminary Construction Plans and the construction cost estimate.

Performance Measure: Deliverables will be reviewed by the Department to confirm they are complete, accurate, and timely.
