About this file
This document is an attachment providing utility asset tagging guidance for contractor compliance.
The Contractor is required to label all utility assets according to a standardized format that aligns with asset data stored in MAXIMO, the asset management system. Labels must be 3" x 2" in size and include the following components: a Standard Title reading "NAVFAC UEM ASSET INVENTORY"; a QR Code containing pipe-delimited attributes including LOCATION, ASSETNUM, FEATUREID, CLASSIFICATION, and DESCRIPTION; a linear bar code representing the ASSETNUM; a linear bar code representing the CLASSIFICATION; and a linear bar code representing the FEATUREID. Additionally, a date bar code is generated as part of the labeling process. All fields on the label must correspond to asset data maintained in the MAXIMO system to ensure proper inventory tracking and asset management integration.
