About this file

This document contains quality requirements for a federal construction contract to upgrade the cooling towers at the National Institute of Standards and Technology Building 42 Central Utility Plant. The contractor must provide all labor, materials and equipment for the design and renovation of the cooling towers. The quality requirements specify that the contractor must submit a quality control plan identifying quality assurance and control personnel and procedures, including submittal review processes, testing and inspection schedules, continuous workmanship inspections, and documentation of corrective actions. The plan must be reviewed and approved by the Contracting Officer's Representative. The contract also includes delegated design requirements specifying qualifications for professional engineers performing engineering services, requirements for seals and signatures on drawings, and certification that all drawings and calculations have been properly sealed.
