3.3 – Compaction of Imported Structural Fill.
A. Determine optimum Moisture content and maximum density according to AASHTO T 99, Method C. Adjust the moisture content of the backfill material to a moisture content suitable for compaction.
B. Compact material placed in all layers to at least 95% of the maximum density. Determine in place density and moisture content according to AASHTO T 310 or other approved test procedures.
3.4 - Grading
A. Grade exterior surfaces uniformly to blend with adjacent ground.
3.5 - Excess or Unsuitable Excavated Material
