SECTION 01330
SUBMITTAL PROCEDURES
PART 1 - GENERAL
Description
Work under this section consists of furnishing all manufacturer's data, samples, certifications, guarantees, reports, installation manuals, and maintenance manuals required for this project.
Submittals
Manufacturer's Literature
The Contractor will demonstrate compliance to this contract by submission of Manufacturer's literature. The purpose of the Manufacturer's Literature is to demonstrate to the COR that the Contractor has an understanding of the equipment and material he intends to furnish and install, and the details of the fabrication and installation intended to be used.
PART 2 - PRODUCTS - None.
PART 3 - EXECUTION
Timing and Approval
It will be the Contractor's responsibility to submit all items with such promptness as to cause no delay in the work. Approvals must be obtained before starting work which involves the item. Contractor shall allow ten (10) working days from date of receipt, by the Government, for processing of submittals, unless otherwise specified. If after review, the COR determines that the submittal requires changes or revisions, the Contractor shall supply the COR with a revised submittal. The Government review period will be repeated for each re-submittal. The Government will assume no liability for loss of time or money should the Contractor fail to comply with this specification.
Number of Copies and Information Required
Submit two (2) copies to the COR for approval on the items required herein. For each submittal, the Contractor must receive written approval from the COR to use the item before incorporating it into the project work. All submittals shall have the project name, the intended location, and reference specification number on the submittal. All data and literature submitted shall be complete and marked or otherwise designated to show the exact model, type, size, number required, etc., the Contractor proposes to use. Information must be adequate to determine compliance with the specifications. If material or equipment other than that specified is submitted for approval, the submittal data shall clearly show and point out any differences with adequate information to determine its equality.
Submittals will be waived if Contractor furnishes exact item used for design when manufacturer's model, size, etc. are shown in the contract, however a copy of the invoice from the supplier shall be provided to the COR.
Submittals should preferably be made in groups of items which are related to facilitate cross checking and coordination.
PART 4 - MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT
Measurement
The work specified herein will not be measured for payment.
Payment
The work is incidental to other items in this contract and direct separate item payment will not be made.
