About this file

This is Addendum #5 to Bid Invitation 3061-26 issued by the New Hampshire Department of Administrative Services, Division of Procurement and Support Services for spreader parts, dump bodies, and plows. The addendum was issued on October 20, 2025, with a revised bid closing date of October 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM. The document addresses vendor inquiries regarding acceptable manufacturers and material specifications across three primary equipment categories: power tilt plow hitch and hydraulics, one-way plows with drive frame assemblies, reversible plows with moldboards, and dump bodies in both 4-6 cubic yard and 10-12 cubic yard configurations. Key clarifications include the state's acceptance of alternative manufacturers such as Henderson Products provided they meet minimum specifications, confirmation that truss members and oscillating drive bars cannot deviate from specified dimensions, and clarification that plow blade cutting edges must bolt directly to specified steel angles without skin extension into the moldboard. The addendum explicitly states that all changes noted supersede previously submitted documents and must be submitted with the bid.

The state approved material substitutions in select instances, including allowance for 1/4-inch AR400 steel floors on 4-6 cubic yard dump bodies and 5/16-inch AR400 steel on 10-12 cubic yard dump bodies while maintaining the 2-inch radius requirement. However, the state maintained strict requirements for hydraulic cabinets, requiring them to be from American Snow Plows "P" Series, Viking "H" series, or H.P.F. "DTH-CL" Series with no substitutes permitted unless vendors certify compliance through on-site visits at their own expense. Vendors must submit responses to the Purchasing Agent, Jonah Rosa, at NH.Purchasing@das.nh.gov, with all addendum terms incorporated into their bid submissions.
