About this file
This is Amendment 8 to solicitation 75H70125R00026, providing responses to 28 contractor questions related to the construction of the Pueblo Pintado Health Center. The questions and responses cover technical specifications regarding GFRC panels, electrical equipment schedules, door STC ratings, fire alarm systems, nurse call systems, panel boards, pillow speaker devices, and public address systems. Key clarifications include: 7mm Petrarch panels are acceptable instead of 12mm, FACP is required in the EMS building, nurse call devices are not required in public toilets with multiple stalls, and nurse call software can reside on hospital-supplied machines.
The amendment also addresses structural details for beam connections, ATS specifications requiring open transition type with bypass/isolation and switched neutral, and confirms that 15" RCP is acceptable in lieu of 12" RCP for storm sewers. Several responses indicate that alternate manufacturers and value-engineered solutions will only be reviewed after contract award, provided they meet system performance requirements. The amendment references previous Amendment 06 which added fire alarm system specifications and Amendment 07 which added structural connection details.

QUESTIONS/RESPONSES
1. Description/Question: Spec says that the GFRC panel needs to be at least 3/8" thickness minimum.
Is the 12mm Petrarch panel desired or would a 7mm panel be acceptable, although not in this range?
Also, are pre‐fabricated corners desired or should they be mitered on site? Finally, please clarify the use of closure profiles.
a. Response: The 7mm Petrarch panel is acceptable. All corners should be created from flat panels mitered on site, no prefab corners. Closure profiles should be utilized in the horizontal joints ("bird beak" profile or eq), and furring hat channels should close all vertical joints.
2. Description/Question: Please provide equipment schedule that corresponds to the electrical drawings.
a. Response: Unsure of what equipment schedule this is requesting. Electrical panel equipment information, transformer information, luminaires, lighting controls, etc are shown on sheet E‐7xx series sheets. Disconnects, starters, etc. for mechanical equipment are noted on M‐701. Disconnects for misc. equipment such as kitchen equipment and medical equipment are noted through construction plans.
3. Description/Question: There’s mention to provide seals/door bottom to meet fire/smoke and/or STC ratings. There’s no mention of STC Openings on the door schedule but there’s a note in the Wood Door Spec (081416) that says, “minimum STC as indicated”. Are we to bid all HM & Wood Door as NON‐STC Rated? If there are STC Rated Doors, where are they indicated at? What STC Rating are we supposed to meet?
a. Response: Door STC ratings should be equal or slightly higher than the wall's STC rating.
