Do to lead time of switchboard construction I am quoting a Power Panel for “TSWB” in lieu of Switchboard construction. Power Panel is 19 weeks out – Switchboard is 58+ weeks out.

It is fine to use a power panel for the “Temporary Switchboard TSWB” if everything can be code compliant.

I am unable to put an Electronically Operated Main in an Enclosed Circuit breaker enclosure. Does this have to be electronically operated?

The main breaker in the power panel TSWB does not have to be electronically operated. Remote operation is not required for temporary equipment.

Is below regarding just the Main Circuit breaker or is all circuit breakers for Switchboards supposed to be LSIG?

"All circuit breakers shall incorporate solid state programmable trip units. The main breaker shall be rated for 100% continuous current.

Solid state trip units shall utilize interchangeable rating plugs to allow easy ampacity changes without changing sensors or taps. Trip units shall provide adjustable current setting, long time pickup and delay, short time pickup and delay, instantaneous pickup, ground fault pickup and delay. Breakers shall be equipped with zone selective interlocking, long time pickup warning light, and trip indications for overload, short circuit, and ground fault.

In the switchboard, all circuit breakers need to be LSIG. So all circuit breakers need electronic trip units that provide LSIG. Only the main breaker has to be rated for 100% continuous current.

Regarding drawing sheet E‐501 Keynote No.1, please verify who “AMK‐400” is and that they will be responsible for disconnection, re‐ pulling and reconnecting lines from the existing comms closet to the new one.

The reference to AMK‐400 is the FAA Telecom Group here at the MMAC, and the work is as per the keyed notes.
