About this file
This document is a Notice for the FAA's Brand-New Air Traffic Control System Request for Information (RFI). The FAA has completed one-on-one sessions with potential prime integrators and plans to meet with non-prime integrators, noting that no single company may have comprehensive capabilities to address the entire work scope. The agency encourages partnerships and comprehensive team approaches to solve the air traffic control system challenge, with a preference for a single accountability entity if groups collaborate.
The FAA met with 15 companies including Booz Allen Hamilton, Deloitte, GDIT, Parsons/IBM, SAIC, and others, and plans to issue a draft solicitation/RFS on July 1st, with comments due back by July 7th and the final RFS to be posted on July 11th. The document emphasizes the need for across-the-board solutions that can be implemented within a 3-4 year timeframe, and invites industry input on defining the term "integrator" as it applies to the Brand-New Air Traffic Control System project.

Text version
The FAA has completed one-on-one sessions with companies interested in serving as the prime integrator. We plan to have meetings with non-prime integrators next week. Thank you to all participants for their thoughts and feedback.
We observed teams that came in with excellent capabilities, comments, questions, and ideas. We also have concerns that no one company may have the full suite of capabilities and bandwidth to comprehensively address all aspects of the work scope. We noted that a broad range of experience and capabilities offered more robust solutions and more comprehensive approaches – and some companies may benefit from additional partnerships. To reiterate our messaging at Industry Days, we do not have a preference for any single approach to solving this challenge.
We look for across-the-board solutions that bring together a full suite of capabilities to address the Brand-New Air Traffic Control System challenge. We greatly support partnerships and other comprehensive teams that bring a full suite of capabilities ensuring the job gets done in the 3-4 year timeframe given. We also understand that the term “integrator” is possibly driving or limiting participation. We encourage industry to help define integrator as it applies to the Brand-New Air Traffic Control System. Please note, if groups are partnering, the FAA has a preference for a single entity for accountability.
The FAA met with the following companies:
Booz Allen Hamilton
Deloitte
GDIT
Parsons/IBM
SAIC
ANPC
AV, Inc.
Emko Capital LLC (with others)
Chelton (pending)
Leidos

Please be advised that the FAA plans to issue a draft solicitation/RFS the week on July 1, with comments on the draft RFS due back on July 7th, and the final RFS posted on July 11th.
