About this file

This is a Demolition specification document (Section 02 41 16) for the Bristol Township 2026 Road Paving, Inlet Replacement, and Curb Ramp Program in Pennsylvania. The specification outlines the removal of designated concrete curbs and sidewalks as part of the broader road infrastructure project. The work requires contractors to conduct demolition while minimizing interference with traffic and maintaining protected egress and access throughout the project duration. Contractors must coordinate with temporary barrier installation, protect existing facilities and adjoining properties, and restore any damaged asphalt pavement in accordance with contract specifications. Pennsylvania Act 172 requirements mandate that contractors contact the Pennsylvania One Call System at least three days prior to excavation work to locate and verify underground utilities before commencing demolition activities.

The specification establishes restoration product standards requiring materials equal to or better than original quality and mandates daily cleanup with immediate removal of demolished materials from the site. Contractors are responsible for properly disconnecting, removing, and capping designated utility services, with location documentation required on Project Record Documents. All contaminated, vermin-infested, or dangerous materials must be removed and disposed of in state-approved disposal areas at the contractor's expense. The specification requires contractors to conduct thorough site examinations prior to work commencement, report any discrepancies to the Engineer, and implement appropriate erosion and sediment control measures before starting demolition activities. No specific pricing, award dates, or contract term information is provided in this technical specification document.
