About this file
This Maintenance Bond document (00 61 19) is required for Bristol Township's 2026 Road Paving, Inlet Replacement, and Curb Ramp Program in Pennsylvania under Contract #25-01237. The bond serves as a guarantee instrument to ensure the contractor performs maintenance obligations and remedies any defects in materials or workmanship that may arise during the maintenance period. The bond covers work including milling, base repair, leveling course, manhole rim adjustments, inlet design and replacements, wearing course installation along various township roads, and ADA/PennDOT compliant curb ramp installation with associated sidewalks, curbing, utility adjustments, and sign work. All work must comply with PennDOT Publication 408 and Township Standards, with specific roadways, inlet structures, and quantities defined in the project exhibits.
The Maintenance Bond is required in the amount of fifteen percent (15%) of the Agreement price and must indemnify the Obligee (Bristol Township) against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of eighteen (18) months following final completion and acceptance of the work. The Principal (contractor) is obligated to repair and remedy any defects at its own expense or reimburse the Obligee for all losses and damages resulting from the contractor's failure to perform. The bond must be executed by both the contractor as Principal and an authorized surety company, with signatures and corporate seals required from authorized representatives of each entity.
