About this file
This document is Amendment No. 2 to Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 438477 for the EIC HSR BPM Button Assembly. The amendment incorporates Attachment A, which provides clarification on the material requirements for the stainless steel flanges. Specifically, the amendment confirms that standard 316L stainless steel is acceptable, rather than the more specialized vacuum arc remelt (VAR) or electro slag remelt (ESR) stainless steel. The RFP is issued by the Department of Energy Office of Science and seeks proposals for the design and fabrication of up to 1,390 EIC HSR BPM Button Assemblies, with an initial award of 35 preproduction components and an option for up to 1,355 production components.
