This document provides details regarding a federal contract opportunity to construct a clean core addition to the surgical suite at the Providence, Rhode Island VA Medical Center. The project consists of constructing new surgery suite space for a clean core within and adjacent to existing operating rooms, relocating the cystoscopy suite and minor surgery, adding an elevated clean core to directly access operating rooms and cystoscopy with sterile supplies from the clean core, and locating the sterile supply core, instrument storage, clean core housekeeping aids closet and charge nurse office within the clean core. Renovations and construction services will be performed measuring approximately 2,900 gross square feet of existing space and 3,900 gross square feet of new space. The solicitation will be issued as a request for proposal conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and evaluated using lowest price technically acceptable procedures.
