2. Provide components assembled in United States.
3. Provide full cold aisle containment submittal for design team review prior to purchase. Installing contractor shall field verify existing conditions including final rack locations, all pertinent dimensions, equipment clearances, etc.
4. Cold aisle containment system shall not impede access to rack mounted components.
5. Provide required components to enclose the cold aisle and isolate from the rest of the space. The cold aisle containment enclosure system shall include a frame with supported enclosure system to contain cold IT equipment supply air. The enclosure par44on wall shall be in the plane with the face of the IT cabinets, extending to height of cabinets to completely seal the cold aisle. Ver4cal Panels installed in the plane with the face of cabinet shall be hinged.
6. Containment system may use the structural floor for moun4ng of the enclosure walls.
7. Flexible bulb gaske4ng material shall be provided to ensure a 4ght seal between the ceiling structure and the containment system. Bulb gaske4ng to be provided between the containment and the cabinet.
8. Provide full height filler panels for any cabinets not installed or omi5ed. The containment system shall accommodate replacing filler panels with IT equipment cabinets without modifica4on. Filler Panel frame and construc4on shall match the rigid containment wall panel construc4on and color.
9. Per UL723 and ASTM E84, the system shall not exceed the following surface burning characteris4cs:
10. Smoke development index acceptable range: 0 to 450
11. Flame spread index: less than 2.5 inches per minute
12. Shall meet all requirements for FM Global Data Sheet 5-32 Requirements.
13. All components of the system shall be suitable for installa4on within a data center opera4ng space.
Containment Panel Construction:
1. System shall consist of aluminum extruded frame surrounding 4.5 mm polycarbonate panels. Aluminum extrusions shall have a center channel for affixing moun4ng equipment and securing adjacent panels.
2. Hard wall panels shall be provided for the en4re length of the row.
3. Height of panels shall be coordinated with the cabinet. Hard wall panels shall be easily removable through mechanical fasteners to allow access to the non-contained area.
4. Frames to be anodized clear finish.
5. Provide filler panels and seal all seams between panels, cabinets, and ceiling to create a sealed enclosure to block bypass air.
6. Panel materials shall be UL tested, meet ASTME84, and be acceptable with all local codes.
7. System shall not interfere with the cabinet door sealing or travel.
8. Paneling material shall have excellent UV stability and shall have at a minimum a verifiable 10 year track record with no UV degrada4on.
9. Panel penetra4ons for cables, electrical power distribu4on, or cable tray shall be sealed with Brush.
Heat Activated Ceiling Panel:
1. Provide Containment solu4on to accommodate various height cabinets, in-row cooling units, and/or in-row UPS systems.
2. Ceiling panels shall be fabricated of extruded aluminum frame surrounding 3.8mm clear polyvinyl chloride material.
3. Panels shall span across the aisle width and shall overlap the top of the cabinet by 1”-6”, field verified so to allow exis4ng condi4ons to remain.
4. Panel materials shall be UL-R4036 rated for use under 165°F systems and be acceptable with all local codes. Panels shall be ac4vated at 135°F.
5. Panel material shall also meet or exceed ASTME84 Flame Spread
