About this file
This document is a justification and approval for other than full and open competition for a federal contract. The Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 04 VAPHS requires the proprietary Acrovyn Privacy Curtain Track 1062N for use in a renovation project at its University Drive campus in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Acrovyn track is the standard application used throughout VAPHS facilities due to its flexible control options through an advanced communication network, durability, and simplicity, which help create an optimal environment for patient comfort. Only Acrovyn meets the agency's performance requirements for features such as bacterial and fungal resistance. Further market research was deemed unnecessary as the larger construction project will be competitively awarded as a 100% SDVOSB set-aside, providing price competition. The estimated cost is considered fair and reasonable.
