About this file

This is a Required Bid Schedule for the City of Tallahassee's Pump Station 182 Redundant Power project, an Invitation for Bid (IFB 043-26-RM) for general construction and electrical work. The project involves constructing a redundant underground power supply from the City of Tallahassee Electric Department's distribution system to Pump Station 182. The Contractor's scope includes supply and installation of two 4-inch electrical conduits via horizontal directional drilling from Engineering Way to the pump station, coordination with the Electric Utility for transformer and primary conductor installation, supply and installation of a 2000-amp Main Breaker, installation of an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), and associated conduit and cable work. The bid schedule contains 13 line items structured as lump sum components, including mobilization, erosion and sedimentation control, permitting fees, conduit and termination cabinet installation, transformer connection work, main breaker installation, ATS installation, wiring connections, and start-up and testing.

Bidders must provide labor, material, and fees costs for each line item. Measurement and payment terms vary by item: Items 1 and 2 follow the City of Tallahassee's Pay Item Manual for Water and Sewer Construction; Item 3 (permitting fees) is paid 50 percent upon approved permit and 50 percent upon certificate of completion; and Items 4 through 12 are paid incrementally with materials valued at 25 percent each upon submittal acceptance, site delivery, installation, and final acceptance, while labor is paid 50 percent upon complete installation and 50 percent upon inspection and acceptance. Item 13 (start-up and testing) is paid 100 percent upon completion and Owner acceptance. The bid schedule notes that grounding, as-built drawings, GPS data, record drawings, and site restoration are incidental to other items with costs included in respective bid items and no separate payment provided.
