About this file

This is a scope of work document for the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County, Florida, detailing rehabilitation services for landfill infrastructure. The project encompasses rehabilitation of twenty-six (26) manholes, thirteen (13) detection stations, two (2) pump stations, and five (5) sanitary lift stations located in the Class I and Class III landfill leachate collection systems in Central Palm Beach County. The work includes cleaning, surface preparation, and application of protective epoxy coatings to these structures, along with replacement of eleven (11) manhole covers and rims featuring Round F900 heavy-duty access covers rated for up to 90 tons. Contractors must be licensed and authorized Warren Environmental products applicators with a minimum of five (5) years' experience. The contract is structured as a phased project with an initial two (2) year period and one (1) year renewal option at the Authority's sole discretion. All work must comply with the technical specifications outlined in Section 02767, and submittal of responses must occur electronically through Bonfire by the specified deadline.

Substantial completion requires submission of all field conformance testing, project record drawings, and completion of all items indicated on the contract drawings. Final acceptance is contingent upon completion and owner approval of punch list items, owner recommendation of any final change order proposals, and owner acceptance of the final invoice. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentualities required for the work and is responsible for limiting construction areas to avoid interference with other contractors and owner operations. All materials must be Warren Environmental products applied exclusively by trained and approved Warren Environmental applicators using the specified patented heated meter/mix plural-component spray, trowel, brush, pour, and squeegee application methods. The epoxy coating must be solvent-free, 100% solids, high-build protective epoxy rated for corrosive wastewater and industrial environments and safe for aquatic life per EPA 2007.0 standards.
