About this file
This is a Technical Specifications document for Section 01710 - Cleaning, part of a Florida rehabilitation project for Manholes, Sanitary Stations, and Wet Wells. The overall project involves rehabilitation of twenty-six (26) manholes, thirteen (13) Detection Stations, two (2) Pump Stations, replacement of eleven (11) Manhole Covers and Rims in Class I and Class III landfill leachate collection systems, and five (5) Sanitary Lift Stations. The contractor must be a licensed and authorized Warren Environmental products applicator with a minimum of five (5) years' experience. The contract term is an initial two (2) year period with an option to renew for an additional one (1) year at the Authority's sole discretion. This is a phased project, and bidders must submit responses electronically through Bonfire by specified deadlines, with the Authority providing a designated period for bidders to submit questions and seek clarifications.
The cleaning section specifies that the contractor shall execute cleaning during construction progress and at completion of work, with daily cleaning required to maintain the site and adjacent properties free from waste materials, rubbish, and debris. The contractor must provide onsite containers for waste collection and disposal, ensure all waste materials are disposed of daily in approved onsite containers, and separate and store materials in approved areas in compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, regulations, and anti-pollution laws. Final cleaning requires skilled workmen to broom clean exterior paved surfaces and rake clean other ground surfaces, with the contractor conducting a pre-substantial completion inspection of all sight-exposed interior and exterior surfaces to verify cleanliness to the Owner's satisfaction. No Small Business Enterprise (SBE) participation is required for this solicitation.
