About this file
This is a Public Notice of Sole Source Determination issued by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) announcing its intent to enter into a price agreement with Vaisala Corporation for the purchase of pavement sensor equipment on an as-needed basis. The contract is expected to become effective in fall 2025 and will have a maximum term of 10 years. The notice establishes a protest period for affected parties, with written protests due to Dave Dethloff at William.d.dethloff@odot.oregon.gov no later than the Bid Opening Date indicated in OregonBuys. Protests must include a detailed statement of legal and factual grounds, a description of resulting harm, and the relief requested.
The sole source determination for Vaisala Corporation indicates ODOT's determination that this vendor is uniquely qualified to provide the required pavement sensor equipment. No specific pricing terms, set-asides, or funding amounts are outlined in this notice document, as it serves primarily as notification of the procurement intent and an opportunity for public challenge to the sole source designation prior to contract execution.
