About this opportunity

Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners, Department of Information Technology Services, issued an Invitation to Bid for a 48-month lease of SAP equipment serving the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center (GJAC) and E911 system, with bids due November 29, 2022 at 2:50 p.m. Bidders must be authorized IBM resellers with current Gold or Platinum competency ratings, at least five years in business, and direct experience in IBM hardware and software for mid to large-size companies and government entities — a restrictive eligibility requirement that filters the bidder pool.

The scope encompasses four IBM Power E1050 servers with POWER10 processors, two IBM SAN Volume Controllers 2145-SV3, four IBM FlashSystem 7300 storage systems, two IBM Storage Networking SAN64B-7 switches, IBM racks, and all pertaining hardware with four years of 24/7 hardware support. Equipment will be distributed to GJAC Data Center at 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia and E911 Data Center at 800 Hi-Hope Road, Lawrenceville, Georgia. Bidders must supply proof of IBM Hardware and Software maintenance contract authorization and provide comprehensive technical capabilities including 24/7 order processing, four-hour response time for pricing and product requests, and standard configuration shipment within 10–15 business days. Professional services for packaging, installation, and removal will be provided directly by IBM.

The estimated contract value is $2.926 million over four years. Pricing must remain firm for the entire 48-month initial contract term and reflect total cost including shipping and handling. Insurance requirements include Workers' Compensation, Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence), Auto Liability ($500,000), and Professional Liability ($1,000,000), with carriers maintaining A.M. Best ratings of A-5 or higher. Questions were due November 18, 2022. Bids were publicly opened November 29, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. with apparent results available the following business day on the county website.
