About this file

This is an Addendum #1 to solicitation BL138-22 issued by Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners for the lease of SAP equipment for GJAC and E911 on a 48-month multi-year contract. The addendum provides clarifications and answers to 14 bidder questions regarding the current infrastructure and equipment specifications. The County seeks to lease IBM storage and server equipment, including an IBM SVC-SV3 storage controller, IBM Power 10 servers, and associated hardware components. Some existing hardware components will be replaced as part of this procurement, while others will supplement the current environment. The equipment will be shipped to two separate locations: GJAC at 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, and E911 at 800 Hi-Hope Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. Formal bid submissions must be received no later than 2:50 p.m. on the due date specified in the solicitation notice. The contract term is 48 months with pricing structured as a four-year solution reflected in annual installments due to year-to-year budgeting requirements.

The County's current environment includes IBM SVC-SV1 storage with software version 8.5.0.5, 16GB Fibre Channel infrastructure using Brocade equipment, PowerVM Enterprise virtualization, IBM Hyperswap replication, and compression capabilities through IBM SAN Volume Controller native tools. The procurement does not involve testing and is based on current operational requirements. Expert Care support matching IBM FS7300 and IBM Power 10 specifications is required. Bidders must attest that all certificate of insurance requirements can be met upon contract award, though certificates do not need to be submitted with the bid itself. Firms on the Gwinnett County ineligible source list are prohibited from submitting offers. The County currently utilizes only IBM storage solutions and has no requirement for external virtualization from other manufacturers.
