About this opportunity

Savannah-Chatham County Public School System is requesting proposals for interscholastic sports insurance and voluntary student accident insurance coverage under RFP 22-49, with proposals due June 7, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. The timeline has been extended twice; Addendum 1 initially moved the due date to May 31, 2022, and Addendum 2 extended it further to June 7, 2022. Respondents must acknowledge receipt of both addenda on the Certification Form to avoid non-responsive determination. Answers to submitted questions will be provided in Addendum 3.

The scope covers comprehensive interscholastic sports insurance and voluntary student accident insurance products protecting student-athletes and participants in voluntary school activities. Specific coverage requirements are detailed in Attachment A of the sample contract.

The contract term is one year from execution, with the District retaining the right to extend for two additional one-year periods by mutual written agreement. The contractor must invoice monthly to the District's Accounts Payable Department at 208 Bull Street, Room 121, Savannah, Georgia 31401, with payment within forty days of approval.

The contractor must maintain specified insurance coverage throughout the term: Commercial General Liability ($1 million per occurrence / $2 million aggregate), Commercial Automobile Liability ($1 million combined single limit), Workers' Compensation (statutory limits), Umbrella Insurance ($1 million per claim), and Professional Liability / Errors & Omissions ($2 million per occurrence / $4 million aggregate), with the District listed as an additional named insured. The District may terminate for convenience with fourteen days' written notice or for cause immediately upon written notice for breach, criminal charges, malpractice allegations, or employment law violations. Liquidated damages are $20 per day for unexcused delays. A ninety-day transition period is required if the contractor is not selected for renewal.
