About this opportunity
The State of Illinois, through the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC), is seeking bids for the purchase of approximately 21,000 wide-ruled composition books to be delivered to various correctional facilities across the state by November 15, 2021. The procurement is being conducted through a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) covering the period from the date of signatures through June 30, 2022, with an option for IDOC to order additional quantities at the awarded bid price for 15 days after contract execution. Bids are due on October 1, 2021 and must be submitted electronically through the State's BidBuy platform. IDOC reserves the right to award the bid in whole or in part and will not accept partial orders. The composition books must not contain any logos, removable plastic, or metal pieces. Pricing for the composition books must be provided on a per unit basis, with prices quoted as net after deducting any trade or quantity discounts. IDOC will use locally held funds to pay for the purchases.
This procurement does not appear to have any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The solicitation does not identify any incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor does it mention any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The procurement documents do not specify an award value or budget range, but indicate that payments will be made in accordance with the State Prompt Payment Act.
