About this opportunity
Butts County School System is requesting proposals for furnishing, delivery, assembly, and installation of commercial office furniture for a new Board of Education office at 162 Woodland Way, Jackson, Georgia, with proposals due September 30, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The System will award based on best overall value rather than lowest price.
The scope includes a complete turnkey furniture package: executive and administrative office furniture, desks, workstations, conference tables and chairs, reception-area furniture, storage units, shelving, and related furnishings. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, delivery, assembly, installation, and cleanup to deliver a ready-for-use installation. Contractors are encouraged to request CAD files from Bill Glass at glassb@bcssk12.org for site planning and proposal preparation.
The successful contractor must demonstrate a minimum of two years of documented experience providing and installing commercial office furniture of similar size and scope. Required insurance includes Workers' Compensation ($500,000 each accident), Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 general aggregate), and Automobile Liability ($1,000,000 combined single limit).
Evaluation criteria allocate 35 points to pricing and overall value, 25 points to quality and durability, 15 points to experience and past performance, 10 points to warranty and post-installation service, 10 points to delivery and installation capabilities, and 5 points to proposal responsiveness. Pricing must remain firm for ninety days following proposal submission and be all-inclusive of furniture, freight, delivery, assembly, installation, and cleanup. Payment terms are net 30 days following receipt, approval of invoices, and satisfactory completion of delivery and installation.
The last day for addenda posting is September 9, 2026. The System anticipates Board approval and award by October 13, 2026. As a Georgia public entity, the contract is subject to preference for Georgia-manufactured products when available and applicable.
