113 Specification 09 69 13 Section 2.3.3.1

Specification 09 69 13, Rigid Grid Access Flooring, Paragraph 2.3.3.1, specifically requires “Hollow Formed Steel” with reference to the access floor panel construction. Due to BAA & FAR provisions, as currently written, but not intentional, only one manufacturer meets the panel description, therefore making this specification proprietary to Tate Access Floors. Therefore we request inclusion of the Haworth TecCrete panel description “Lightweight Concrete Panels (Exposed Concrete)”, as described in the Unified Facilities Guide Specification 09 69 13, under Paragraph 2.3.3.5.

Further, the Haworth TecCrete Panel meets or exceeds all other aspects of the Project specifications, Section 09 69 13 Access Flooring and is the only manufacturer that is ICC-ES AC300 compliant as specified under 2.2C1.

In addition, 2.3.4.1b Carpet Tile specifies the Haworth CarpetLok system, which works with the Haworth TecCrete Panel only.

Finally, the Haworth TecCrete Access Floor system has been installed in the following related buildings.HIANG – TFI – F-22 Flt. Simulator Building and COMM Bldg. – B3385HIANG – TFI – F-22 Squadron Operations & Aircraft Maintenance Unit Hanger
