63 Drawing EP-601 Please confirm that the (4) frequency converters show on EP- 601 are Government Furnished and Contractor Installed.

Please see revised Drawing EP601, per Am-0005.

64 Drawing EP-133 Sheet Note 2 references that the converter has a voltage and frequency of 270VDC 400 Hz. Please confirm that this is correct. It is not possible to have a direct current voltage power connection with a 400 Hz frequency application. The F-22 aircraft power requirement, according to the referenced frequency converter manufacturer, is 270VDC only

Please see revised Drawing EP133, per Am-0005.

65 Drawings EP-133 and

EP-134

Sheet Note 5 references a 4" Conduit with 400 Hz 270 VDC cable. In speaking with the referenced frequency converter manufacturer, the F-22 aircraft requires only a direct current power connection. According to the frequency converter manufacturer, Lockheed Martin tested a maximum cable length of 83 linear feet. Please confirm the following:

1) Is the the design intent to accommodate a 400Hz power connection for aircraft other than the F-22?

2) Please specify and provide a minimum size cable for the connected aircraft electrical load for the cable referenced on Sheet Note 5. Please confirm what is the aircraft connected electrical load.

3) If the intended power connection is only for the F-22 aircraft, the conduit and cable referenced on Sheet Note 5 may present voltage drop issues where the line drop compensator of the aircraft may not accept the proposed designed power source.

Please verify this is correct. The scaled distance of this conduit route is 120 linear feet. This does not include the added cable length required for the direct electrical connection to the aircraft.

Please see revised Drawings EP133 and EP134, per Am-0005.

66 Drawings EP-133 and

EP-134

Please clarify design intent on how the power connections are made to the individual aircraft. Are these connection points the responsibility of the contractor, or the government? Drawing EP-504 shows a Class 1 Div. 1 junction box for a 270 VDC cable connection. Typically the cable connections to the aircraft are a multi-conductor cable assembly with a molded case receptacle for direct input into the aircraft.

Please see revised Drawings EP133 and EP134, per Am-0005.

Drawing EP504 has been deleted.

67 What is the size of New Water Service Connection, meter and backflow? Please advise.

Please see revised Drawing C111a, Detail C2, per Am-0005.

68 Referencing sheet S-151, please advise if the Hush House slab and foundation rest on 3’-0” Stabilization Layer.

There is no stabilization layer at the Hush House.

69 Please see revised Drawings EP133 and EP134, per Am-0005.

Drawing EP504 has been deleted.

Drawings and notes state that both maintenance pits are a Class 1 Division 1 environment. Key Note 1 on Drawings EP-133 and EP-134 state that each pit shall have a 270 VDC cable and plug, 480V 3 Pole 6 Wire Receptacle (BURTON NO. 4122) (, (1) 120V 20A duplex receptacle. Please clarify the following:

1) The specified Burton 4122 480V 300A 3 Pole 6 Wire Outlet is not rated for a Class 1 Division 1 environment. It is not possible to have a manufactured receptacle in 6 Pole configuration rated for the specified environment. Will the designer consider (2) separate receptacles ((1) 480V 4 pole and (1) 120V Duplex receptacle in lieu of what is specified?

2) Aircraft ground power receptacles are typically a molded cased configuration.

If the 270 VDC cable and receptacle are to be kept in the pit, is the design intent to have components that are rated for this environment? Could the designer please specify what components they considered for design intent with both the size of the low inductance cable referenced on drawing EP-504 and the plug configuration referenced in Key Note 1 on Drawings EP-133 and EP-134.

3) Junction Boxes are shown on the Shelter Pit Walls on Drawing EP504. Key Note on Drawing EP504 states that (2) Junction Boxes are to be used for a 480V receptacle connection. Please clarify where the transition is to occur for the 120V receptacle and 480V on-off light. Is the design intent to use EYP fittings to seal the raceways for the connections to the all items shown on Drawing EP 504?

4) Please clarify on Drawing EP504 what the items shown are mounted too in the electrical service pit. Drawing S-503 does not show any steel framing inside the electrical service pit.

5) Please provide dimensions and a detail off the what is shown on drawing on Drawing EP-504 for what the electrical receptacles and lights are mounted too.

6) Please clarify if the electrical service pit in the Alert shelter is to have a cover and frame that will enclose the service pit. If so, please provide dimensions and details. There is no frame and cover shown on Drawing S-503.
