Four possible building orientation/configuration options were considered but many of the functional considerations had to take precendence over the sustainability id ti
This is a secured area. Only aircraft operators and maintenance personnel should be approaching the building.
UFC 1-200-02, Paragraph 2-2.1.4 Site Integration and Design of the Building Meet the following requirements during the planning and design process.
Site design elements ensure safe and convenient pedestrian access.
Incorporate results of site analysis into design, with focus on orientation, configuration, and massing.
Integrated Design UFC 1-200-02, Paragraph 2-2.1: Integrated Design
Orient building to maximize energy efficiency, passive solar, and daylighting potential.
Incorporate high performance and sustainable systems into design.
The nature of the function of the building isn't one that's conducive to voluntary physical activity due to aircraft and other vehicular traffic in
Design promotes opportunities for occupants to voluntarily increase physical activity.
Four different building orientations/configurations were considered however, the site was very constrained Some of the constraintsAll lighting is high-efficiency LED lighting. Building is naturally ventilated.

Are the requirements of UFC 3-210-10 Low Impact Development applicable to this project?
Although the site meets the criteria in paragraph 1-4 of UFC 3-10-10, application of full LID principles is technically infeasible per Paragraph 2Submit documentation (see ToolTip, all documentation is required) to validate the as-built LID-integrated management practices meet the design requirements, per UFC 3-210-10 paragraph 2-2.4.
This is a design submission.
Construction team will coordinate the post construction documentation.
For NAVFAC only, does the project require NAVY LID policy?
