Question: Spec 263226 was revised by Amd 7 which deleted the requirement for automatic parallel operation (2.5-R). However, part 2.8-A.6 still includes a display of master/slave indication. We assume that this will now be deleted. Please verify.
Answer: Section 2.8-A.6 has been deleted. Refer to Specification 26 32 26.
Question: Spec 263226 part 2.6-B indicates that the unit is to be a dual output. The drawings show that the overall size of the unit is to be 120 kva. Please indicate how the kva is to be split between the 115/200 VAC and the 230/400 vac outputs that would total 120 kva.
Answer: Provide the 100 kW power rating at the user selectable 200 or 400 VAC output. Specification 26 32 26 section C specifies a 100 kW size unit which equals 125 kVA at 08. PF and not 120 kVA. Drawing EP104, note 10 refers to the specification 26 32 26 and does not specify a kVA rating. Drawing E-601 single line also does not note a kVA size. Drawings do not show the overall size to be 120 kVA as stated in the question.
See specification 26 32 26 to include additional clarification including the kVA rating at the voltage requirements.

Previous Solicitation Number W91242-18-R-0001 C-17 Corrosion Control and Fuel Cell Hangar cable”. Please advise.
Answer: If referring to Hangar Doors, provide a trolley duct system. See Specification 08 36 20.
Question: In the PLANS, Under "Structural General Notes" the GCpi is set at +/- 0.55 for the Hangar Bay. Can GCpi = +/- 0.18 be used for the Hangar Door design since the door is too be closed at the storm rated winds? The higher GCpi number assumes the door is open during the Code rated wind event. L/360 over 64 feet span is excessively stiff. These doors are specified as receiving metal panels which is a very flexible material. L/120 is all that is required by Table 1604.3 of the IBC (exterior walls with flexible finish). Please advise.
Answer: Hangar door components shall be designed to resist the Component and Cladding Wind loads per Part 3 of Chapter 30 of ASCE7-10 in accordance with the Building Code, as referenced by UFC 1-200- 01 and UFC4-211-01. Design shall incorporate provisions for Partially Enclosed Buildings (GCpi = +0.55).
See Spec section 08 36 20 - HANGAR DOORS for amended deflection criteria.
Question: States “Provide automatic jamb latches that activate when door is fully closed.” My understanding is this is a conflict. It’s not a bottom rolling door feature. This is something you see on a vertical lifting bi-fold door. Please advise.
Answer: Automatic jamb latches are not required. See Spec section 08 36 20 HANGAR DOORS. .
Question: What do you mean by “corrosion resistant”? Does that mean Stainless Steel, Galvanized or possibly painted with a Zink rich primer. We have used the Zink Rich Primer paint before and it does pass for being corrosion resistant in some applications. It also works better than the galvanizing because it isn’t as thick so the machined parts fit together better. Please advise and provide minimum specs if necessary.
Answer: If referring to Spec Section 08 36 20, the intent of paragraph 2.4.A is to establish that the door hardware is required to be corrosion resistant while providing different material options for the hangar door manufacturer. Proceed as specified.
Question: Discipline: Concrete Paving. Inquiry: Per Addendum #7 Sheet C-506 Detail 2 and 3 states “NO. 9 REBAR @ 15” O.C. PAINT & GREASE EXPOSED END OF DOWEL”. “Rebar” is not a “smooth bar dowel”, nor intended to be load transfer device, and it is usually classified to be a # (size) designation. Please clarify that the intent is to utilize a smooth painted/greased dowels 1-1/8” x 20” @ 15” O.C. for all of the contraction/construction joints?
Answer: Provide 1-1/8" x 20" Smooth Bar Dowels at 15" O.C. and grease exposed end of dowel for joints located within the aircraft apron rigid concrete pavement and as shown on sheet CS-102 JOINT LAYOUT
