ECF
Primary point of personnel access via secured perimeter surrounding the LRDR facilities.
Normally unmanned IAW USSTRATCOM Strategic Instruction 538- 2; access control will be provided with a Level II Access Control System for ingress and Level I for egress at the ECF turnstiles for those with proper credentials
Not required to be HEMP protected.
Required to be hardened with resistance to small arms fire (UL 752
Ballistic Level V) at the interior walls which surround the Entry Control Room.
Perimeter exterior walls to meet Low Level Forced Entry for Intrusion Protection delay of 60 seconds min. per UFC 4-020-01 | 4- 9.2.1.
ECF - Entry Lobby
Unsecured side of the ECF Entry Lobby required to meet UFC 4-020-01, 4-9.2 Low Level Protection; provide intrusion protection delay of 1 minute minimum.
Aluminum curtainwall window framing system has been provided for its ‘beefier’ structural capabilities combined with triple glazed insulated glass with heat strengthened out face and polycarbonate inner units to provide sustained intrusion protection for minimum 1-minute interval while maximizing the thermal properties of the window-envelope system.
Access to secure side maintained with stainless steel revolving door and ADA gate-door access via Entry Control Room personnel.
ECF - Entry Control Room Windows, doors and walls surrounding the Entry Control Room are required to be small arms resistant with UL 752 Ballistic Level 5 assemblies at a minimum per UFC 4-022-01, subsection 6-9.6.2.
Glass clad polycarbonate and fiberglass clad wall panels at interior walls will be provided for the required ballistic level. Access control provided for stainless steel revolving door and ADA gate-door between unsecured Entry Lobby and Secured Exit Lobby.
Gun ports shall be installed between the Entry Control Office and the public access lobbies (3-gun ports).

ECF – Structural Summary Single Story metal stud-framed building.
Roof Framing: 5/8” plywood sheathing supported by
10-inch deep cold-formed metal joists spaced 16-inches on center. Joists will be supported on 8-inch cold formed metal stud bearing walls on the back side of the building and on steel posts and beams at the front of the building.
Plywood roof diaphragm transfers loads to ½-inch plywood sheathed shear walls attached to the exterior face of the 8-inch cold formed metal studs.
Foundation: Conventional cast-in-place concrete wall and footing system w/ 4-inch slab-on-grade.
Perimeter wall columns supported on concrete pilasters and concrete spread footings.
