II. INSTALLATION SPECIFIC INFORMATION

A. BASE

(1) INTRODUCTION

The 4 FW provides fuel to four 5 flying squadrons; 3 active components and 2 training. The aircraft totals are 96 F-15E’s and 14 KC-135s. LGRF has one Type III facility that receives fuel from our storage counterpart every day. The base had 5 storage tanks and 2 hydrant tanks

The base averages a little around 4 million gallons issued a month. The base receives by both rail car and tank truck and receives almost every week day.

Ground fuel receipts are accomplished once a month on average. The base owns a MUR tank, an E85 tank (which is not yet capitalized) and BDI tank. The base also holds DS2 in one C300.

On an average receiving 3 days a week by truck with an average of 100 trucks per week. We also receive by rail/pipeline 1 day a week.

To transfer a 130,000 gallons will take between 2.5 and 3 hours.

(2) HOURS OF OPERATION

Normal hours for fuels operations are identified below. Contractor must be capable of providing 24 hours x 7 days per week PWS coverage when required including for weather, natural disaster, exercise, or other contingency operations.
