Shaw AFB Questions & Answers
1. Please provide information on nitrogen bottle replacement at Shaw AFB. Number of bottles consumed per year?
Answer: Refer to PWS Appendix AF, Section (4) Base Specific Requirements.
2. Please provide workload information for night time flying at Shaw AFB. How often and number of hours per occurrence?
Answer: Refer to PWS Section C-5.1 Staffing and Appendix AF, Section (4) Base Specific Requirements.
3. Appendix AF for Shaw indicates that the Contractor has been called in 10 times in the last year. Please provide workload information for these call-ins, i.e. number of hours worked.
Answer: Refer to PWS Section C-5.1 Staffing.
4. Does the Fuels Management Flight designate the number of fuels personnel who must be present when off-loading multiple tank trucks simultaneously in their Fuels Operating Instructions? And if so, what does it stipulate?
Answer: Refer to PWS Appendix C.
5. How often does night flying occur?
Answer: Refer to PWS Appendix AF, Section (4) Base Specific Requirements.
6. Please confirm if the Contractor performs return to bulk operations (i.e. R-11 or bowsers).
Answer: Refer to PWS Section C-5.2.2.1.
7. Appendix AF states the contractor was called in 10 times during the last year outside of their normal hours. What is the average amount of time the contractor was required to work during these call ins?
8. The hours of operation state that night flying extends the period of service. Please provide an annual count of days where the service window is extended to 0100.
9. The workload information states that there have been 10 times that the Contractor has been called in outside normal duty hours. Please provide an annual estimate on the number of hours worked beyond normal duty hours.
10. The workload information states that there have been 10 times that the Contractor has been called in outside normal duty hours. Would the Contractor be reimbursed if personnel have to stay after normal duty hours to complete receipts/transfers/issues?
11. The workload information references an emergency generator being in the Contractor's AOR.
Please confirm that a Government entity is responsible for conducting the periodic generator testing and maintenance.

12. The workload information references an emergency generator being in the Contractor's AOR.
Please confirm that the Government provides the fuel for this generator in the event that the Contractor is responsible for testing.
Answer: Refer to PWS Appendix AF Section (3) Workload Information.
13. The base specific requirements provide a listing of Government-furnished facilities to be used by the Contractor. Are spill kits to be provided by the Government?
Answer: Refer to PWS Section C-5.8.2 Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Services.
14. There is no listing of furniture included for the Government furnished facilities. Does the Government provide furniture for the Contractor's use?
Answer: COR is currently completing an inventory and we will update the Appendix AF once complete.
15. The workload information states that annual maintenance on GFP is provided by DLA Energy. Please confirm the Contractor is only responsible for operator level inspection.
Answer: Refer to PWS Section 5 Performance Requirements, Sub-Paragraph C-5.3.1 and C- 5.3.2.1.
16. The workload information states that annual maintenance on GFP is provided by DLA Energy. Please confirm the Contractor is only responsible for coordination with CE for maintenance of GFP.
Answer: Refer to Appendix AF Table 2 and PWS Section C-5.3.
