About this file
This is an Inspection Availability Form (Attachment H) for RFP S-10700-00009763, a Request for Proposal issued by the State of Oregon for aluminum boarding docks. The RFP seeks to establish one or more statewide price agreements for the purchase of aluminum boarding docks, materials, related equipment, and services that authorized purchasers may utilize. As a condition of proposal submission, proposers must commit to permitting the Authorized Purchaser, Engineer of Record, or their representatives the right to inspect construction at any time throughout the manufacturing process. Proposers are required to submit and maintain an updated manufacturing schedule for all dock components to facilitate inspection visits at appropriate times.
The inspection requirements mandate a minimum of two inspections during the manufacturing and assembly process. The first inspection must occur post fitment and weld-up, prior to concrete ballast placement, and shall include examination of the shell, bulkheads, stiffeners, grounding rails, wale supports, bullrails, hinge barrel assemblies, and anodes. The second inspection must take place during decking placement and shall include review of foam blocks (if accessible), top cover, spacers and supports, wales and rub strips, and decking. Proposers must formally acknowledge and authorize these inspection requirements by executing the form with an authorized representative signature.
