About this file
This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Sterile Processing Services (SPS) addition at the Sioux Falls VA Health Care System in South Dakota. The project involves constructing approximately 8,916 square feet of new space and renovating 2,730 square feet of existing space in Building 5, located at 2501 West 22nd Street. The new addition will include an interstitial/mechanical space with the same footprint as the SPS area and is designed to be adjacent to the existing operating room addition.
The comprehensive technical specifications cover multiple construction divisions, including site work, demolition, concrete, masonry, metals, wood, thermal and moisture protection, openings, finishes, specialties, furnishings, and building systems. The project will require extensive coordination, with specific attention to safety requirements, environmental controls, waste management, and sustainable construction practices. The technical documents include detailed drawings, specifications for materials and installation, and requirements for quality control, commissioning, and final documentation. The solicitation indicates the project is part of VA Project Number 438-460, with Anderson Engineering of Minnesota, LLC serving as the primary design consultant.
