TS101 Please provide conductor sizes for the 240V power to the Mid Range Radar Systems at each of the 5 locations.

The contractor must assume that the conductor size for the 240V power to the mid-range radars will be 2#8 and 1#8 ground. Final power and wire sizing requirements must be coordinated with the security vendor providing the mid-range radars.

TS101 Please indicate panel locations within Buildings B100, B101, B102and B103 that are to be utilized for the 240V power to the Mid-Range Radar Systems.

Panel Locations are as follows:

B100 - NE corner of the bldg B101 – Transformer bldg. located SE of B101.

B102 – Transformer bldg. located NW of B102.

TS-101 Are there spare circuit breakers within the existing panelboards for the 240V power to the Mid Range Radar System, or will Contractor be responsible to furnish them? If contractors responsibility, please specify ampere rating of the required circuit breaker and existing panelboard information.

Yes. At each of the power stations at the nearest tower to the radars are panelboards with spare circuit breakers. However, it cannot be guaranteed that the spare breakers will be vacant at the time of installation.

The contractor should account for the circuit breakers. Circuit breakers must be a minimum of 15A and are to be coordinated with the security vendor providing the radar detection equipment.

30 Section 13 35 11 Page

2.37 Spec section 13 35 11 item 2.3.7

lists several roof types. Are all of the roof types acceptable? If so, is there a preference for a particular roof type?

The design intent is to have it match as closely as possible with a metal roof, standing seam.

31 Section 13 35 11 Page

2.4.5 Spec section 13 35 11 item 2.4.5

specifies two different breaker panels. Is more than one panel required? If so, please clarify for what the second panel is to be used.

Only one panelboard is required.

Panel during design was coordinated as a 125 amp, 208Y/120V, 3-phase panel as indicated on EP701.

32 Please confirm that when discrepancies arise between details on the plans and the project specfications, the plans will override the specs.

Any discrepancies found in the contract documents are required to be brought to the COR attention.

33 A-101 & P-101

During Phase 1, Room 114 Shower and a portion of Room 122 Mother's will be constructed. Due to layout of these rooms and the associated Plumbing work (shown on P-101), these rooms cannot be completed until the Renovation work in Phase 2 is completed.

Therefore, a Room 112 will need to be excluded from use and a Temporary Dust Wall will need to be installed in Hallway 112 during the Renovation work, to separate the new portion of the building from the existing portion. Please confirm that this is acceptable.

Acceptable. Preferred method of construction is complete evacuation of building during construction due to the addition location and other relocation of utilities temporarily required.

34 A-104 The Reflected Ceiling Plan Legend includes a symbol for "No Ceiling" in a room. Room 104 includes this symbol, along with the word "EXPOSED" beneath the room number. Room 110 includes the word "EXPOSED" in the room, but it does not include the symbol for "No Ceiling". Please confirm Room 110 has "No Ceiling".

Room 110 ceiling is “EXPOSED”.

35 Please provide a specification section for Wood Doors.

Provided. See attached in accompanying email

There is no window indicated in Room 119. No Roller Shade required.

37 A-701 On A-701, Room Finish Schedule

- Visitor Center, Room 114 Remarks has SS3 in the Wall Finish column. In the Finish Legend - Visitor Center, SS3 is defined as a Sill. Please clarify the Sill location in Room 114.

Omit SS3. There is no sill requirement

54 GC001 The project sequencing shown on GC001 indicates that the building 129 extension and the construction of the new CVIS facility are to start in phase 1. During the walkthrough on 5/15/23, one of the NAVFAC representatives indicated that the building 129 work cannot begin until the CVIS facility is complete and the personnel can move into the new facility. This sequence is not possible with the currently designed electrical infrastructure as the new CVIS facility is powered by a new panel in the new building 129 extension. Therefore, the CVIS facility cannot be operational until after building 129 is complete. Additionally, there is fiber optic cabling for various systems running from the new portion of building 129 to the CVIS facility. In order to allow for the construction of the CVIS facility and building 129 to

Currently, B129 has two areas that require access during construction; the room that is to remain (RM 109) and the RFI room (Room 108). The new ECF should be constructed and operational so the contents of the RFI can be relocated and the ECF occupied for its intended purpose. Once relocated, the activities of B129 and B130 will relocate to the new ECF and the contractor can have full access to both buildings except room 109. This room will have little, if any activity during the course of the work and the contractor need only ensure the room can be accessed on an occasional, as/if needed basis. Regarding the sequence to allow for this, the means and methods are left to the contractor. If an external solution can meet all the requirements of an RFI room it may be utilized with approval from PNSY SECO. The contractor may instead choose to: build out the VCC addition first (without impacting the existing commence at the same time, as indicated in the drawing, the Contractor proposes to provide a temporary facility for the NAVFAC personnel to use during construction located near the existing guard shack. part of B129); provide a temporary power source and data to the new ECF, or; any other method which provides for the requirements noted. If there is any question as to whether an option will be acceptable or not, the contractor should submit their intended plan prior to bid. If the contractor wishes to propose a temporary facility, it should submit that request along with the appropriate information to illustrate it meets the requirements to contain an RFI room.
