6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
6.1 The contractor shall not work on the system until vessel crew has demonstrated Lock-Out Tag-Out process has been performed.
6.2 Recertification work shall be to ABS and ASME Code.
7.0 STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIRED
7.1 Furnish labor and materials to certify the two each (2) 568 Liter Main Air receivers to a higher pressure and provide R-stamp of that higher pressure. Currently, the receivers are rated at 38 bar. The new higher pressure is 40 bar (581 psi)
7.2 Perform all requirements to isolate and secure the Main Air Receivers from external system and return to service upon completion.
7.3 Port and Stbd Main Air Receivers (two total) shall have all butt weld joints 100% non-destructively tested by volumetric method of NDE (UT) to determine no quality defects are present in the weld joints of the upper and lower circumferential head to shell joints and vertical joints. These welds shall be tested 100%.
7.3.1 Provide all labor, equipment, rigging and matieral to repair all weld quality defects identified in refs 2.3 and 2.5. Repair of all additional weld defects found will be subject of an RFP.
7.4 Perform random ultrasonic thickness gauging on 6 inch centers. Two hundred total readings per air receiver shall be measured and recorded for shell, top and bottom heads.
7.5 Perform all testing and services required to provide compliance for ABS and ASME pressure vessel code “U-Stamp” rating for the higher certified pressure.
7.6 Perform hydrostatic test of each tank to 1.33 X the new pressure of 40 bar.
7.6.1 ABS Surveyor, ASME representative and MSCREP Shall be called out to witness test.
7.7 Call out MSCREP and ABS for all tests.
7.8 Furnish and install two (2) relief valves item 012 per reference 2.1. Set relief valves to 570 PSI. Apply stainless steel labeled tag with relief valve setting and date of test. The removed relief valves shall be set to 570 PSI and returned to vessel Chief Engineer.
7.9 Furnish new stainless steel label plate on receivers. New label plates shall be stamped with MAWP, date of test and all required regulatory data.
7.9.1 Note: Coordinate with ABS/ASME requirements to determine when and where to locate label plate. Welding of label plate to receiver post hydro may void hydro test.
7.9.2 Remove old label plates.
7.10 Prep, prime and paint any disturbed areas to existing scheme.
7.11 Record and furnish the results of all tests and inspections. Furnish hard copy and electronic copies to vessel CE and MSCREP.
