About this file

This document is a Question & Answer (Q&A) addendum for Solicitation 02520 Manlifts, issued by the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services (DES). The solicitation pertains to a competitive procurement for Manlifts, which include chassis-mounted and mobile elevated work platforms designed for moving personnel, tools, and materials to working positions. The original bid due date of December 21, 2021, was extended to January 11, 2022, specifically to provide Oregon bidders additional opportunity to participate in the solicitation.

The Q&A document confirms that bidders who have already submitted bids are permitted to retract their original submissions and resubmit before the new due date. The extension was implemented to ensure broader participation from potential vendors in Washington and Oregon. The procurement is being managed by Procurement Coordinator Marquita Price, who can be contacted at 360-407-2218 or descontractsteamcypress@des.wa.gov for any additional questions regarding the solicitation.

Question
Response
Did this change the solicitation?

Can I ask why the extension? My team and myself worked long hours to get this turned in on time. To only have it extended seems unfair to us that met your timeframe requirement.

Yes, this extension was to allow Oregon bidders an opportunity as well as the State of Washington.
Extending until January 11, 2022.
Did submit a bid - due on original due date of 12/21/2021- Could it be retracted and we submit a new bid on or before the new due date of January 11, 2022?
Yes, you are able to retract your bid before the close date.
Extending until January 11, 2022.

We are curious as to why the extended due date?

To allow Oregon bidders the opportunity to bid.
Extending until January 11, 2022.
