GT 135 LED Classroom Intruder Cylindrical Lock, patented (US Patent #9,187,928), is designed to allow a staff member to use the inside cylinder to lock the outside of the door, without compromising safety to the occupants in the room. But how does a staff member know if the outside lever is locked? Until now, it required opening the door and checking the lever. The Classroom Intruder function eliminates the need to open the door. Simply press the button on the lock, and…if the Red LED lights up, the outside lever is locked and secure. If the Red LED does not light up, this indicates the outside lever is not locked and secure.

FEATURES

• Complies with California Education Code (Functions GT135, GT135LED).

• Red LED (Light Emitting Diode) outside lever status indicator.

• Pushing the button located on the rose of the inside lock, Red LED illuminates indicating the outside lever is locked.

• Offered with cylinder housings compatible with Best® Small Format

Inter-changeable cores, Schlage® Large Format Interchangeable cores and most others.

• Large Format Inter-changeable cores only available with PHL lever.

• Keying options available, compatible with most key systems.

• Battery life rating: 10 years*.

• Battery type: CR1220.

*Battery tested to over 7,300 illumination cycles. Ten year life rating is calculated using one second per illumination at two illuminations per day, 365 days per year over ten years.

OUTSIDE LEVER UNLOCKED TO CHECK THE SECURITY OF THE

OUTSIDE LEVER, PRESS THE BUTTON.

IF THE RED LED ILLUMINATES, THAT

CONFIRMS THE OUTSIDE LEVER IS

LOCKED AND SECURE.

LT2053 4-2017

The AbilityOne® Program is a Federal Program providing employment opportunities to more than 50,000 people who are blind or have other significant disabilities in the United States.

The AbilityOne® Program uses the purchasing power of the federal government to buy products and services from participating, community-based nonprofit agencies nationwide dedicated to training and employing individuals with disabilities.

Since 1938, National Industries for the Blind (NIB) has enhanced economic and personal independence of people who are blind by creating employment opportunities. Under its brand name Skilcraft®, NIB and its associate agencies supply federal customers with a selection of more than 3,000 quality products.

NIB is one of two nonprofit agencies established to assist with implementation of the Federal AbilityOne® Program. NIB has single source status on Federal procurements destined for set aside under the Program. This allows Federal procurement agencies to streamline acquisition processes and ease contract renewal while maximizing cost-efficiencies and maintaining the highest degree of integrity.

Created by Congress in 1938 (originally as the Wagner-O’Day Act, then amended in 1971 to become Javits-Wagner-O’Day), the act was designed to increase employment and training opportunities for persons who are blind or have significant disabilities through government purchasing of products and services.

The Act established the U.S. AbilityOne® Commission® to administer the Program, determine which products and services should be placed on the Procurement List and to set fair market prices. The Commission was also authorized to designate two national nonprofit agencies to facilitate the Federal procurement of products and services on the Procurement List among community-based nonprofit agencies employing persons who are blind or have significant disabilities. NIB is one of those designated national nonprofits.

The AbilityOne® Program is implemented via the Code of Federal Regulations (41 CFR Ch. 51), FAR 52.208-9 Contractor Use of Mandatory Sources of Supply or Services, and FAR Part 6.302-5 exempts AbilityOne® contracts from the requirements of the Competition in Contracting Act.
