About this file
This is Amendment 0003 to solicitation N40080-23-R-0022, issued by Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Washington for the Quarters 6 rehabilitation project at Marine Barracks Washington, DC. The amendment significantly revises the project description from the original scope of constructing a multi-rise housing facility to instead focus on rehabilitating the historic Quarters 6 building at 8th and I Streets.
The revised scope involves restoration and renovation of the 15,984 GSF historic residence of the Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps. Work includes structural and architectural repairs, preservation of historic materials, repainting, wood refinishing, repair of humidity/water damage, roof replacement, exterior window/door replacement, and complete replacement of fire sprinkler, fire alarm, mechanical, electrical distribution, telecom and IT systems. Site work encompasses site preparation, improvements, and storm drainage upgrades. The project requires temporary heating/cooling during construction to protect historic finishes. The amendment is effective January 17, 2025, and does not extend the original proposal due date. This is part of a $750M Small Business Anchor Multiple Award Construction contract.
