1.0 DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

1.1 Purpose

The purpose of this Performance Work Statement (PWS) is to define the Contractor

Logistics Support (CLS) and training requirements to be accomplished for the Light Air

Support (LAS) Ground Training Devices (GTDs). The LAS GTDs will directly support pilot training for the LAS aircraft. The LAS aircraft will initially be used as an advanced trainer operated by United States Government (USG) Air Advisor Pilots to train Partner

Nation (PN) pilots. It will subsequently be operated by the USG Air Advisors and PN pilots to perform close air support (CAS) and Intelligence, Surveillance, and

Reconnaissance (ISR) missions. The LAS GTDs will be operated from in-country locations. CLS includes all support actions required for operating and maintaining each of the three GTDs: Computer Based Trainer (CBT), Basic Aviation Training Device

(BATD), and Flight Training Device (FTD). The BATD and FTD together comprise the

Aviation Training Device (ATD) component of the total GTD; the contractor shall conduct pilot training with each of these devices. The total CLS support package includes

ATD operators/trainers, maintenance personnel, materials and inspections. The contractor shall be responsible for Supply Management to include all spares and support equipment requirements; repair and overhaul of all repairable spares; and perform maintenance, repair or replacement of all support equipment for the three GTDs. This effort also includes engineering services and field team support. The Contractor shall establish and maintain sustainment agreements with the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and vendors for data and technical support to maintain the LAS GTDs. Installation and acceptance of the GTDs will be completed in country not later than 60 days prior to the arrival of the first LAS Aircraft. The Contractor shall be capable of performing all CLS

PWS requirements and training at this time.

1.2 Requirements

1.2.1 The Contractor shall provide all spares, support equipment to include repair and overhaul consumables as well as a qualified workforce to perform full CLS that includes the following areas:
