RACM: Regulated Asbestos-Containing Material (RACM)" means friable ACM, Category I non-friable ACM that has become friable, Category I non-friable ACM that will be or has been subjected to sanding, grinding, cutting, or abrading, or Category II non-friable ACM that has a high probability of becoming or has become crumbled, pulverized, or reduced to powder by the forces expected to act on the material in the course of demolition or renovation project operations.
This inspection was performed in accordance with the Utah Division of Air Quality (DAQ) requirements as found in the Utah Air Quality Rule R307-801-10. This inspection report is required to be on site during all abatement, renovation, and demolition activities. Samples referenced in this report were analyzed by polarized light microscopy (PLM) utilizing method 600R-93-116 by The Science and Engineering laboratory at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
Civil Engineering personnel also reviewed previous asbestos inspection reports of suspect asbestos containing building materials (ACM) that could potentially be encountered in this area. The information gathered from all current and previous inspections is shown below by homogenous area.
