About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation FA488725Q0006 for Kitchen Fire Suppression Inspection & Maintenance services at Luke Air Force Base. The document clarifies that Luke AFB Fire Department is the monitoring company and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), not Glendale Fire Department, and contractors must coordinate with them for system testing.
Key operational details include: access requires 5-7 business days processing with two forms of ID; contractors will be issued keys for fire alarm panels upon coordination; work typically occurs between 5AM-2PM over approximately one week; scheduling must be coordinated with Facility Managers; qualified mechanics must provide evidence of required licenses prior to contract award; and the Emergency Communication Center must be notified before and after testing. The document also clarifies pricing terms for materials and parts, though paragraph 1.4.1 regarding gate entry/exit timing has been removed. Contractors will need to meet with the COR after award for a walkthrough to determine access availability for all systems listed in Appendices A, B and C of the PWS.
