About this file
This document is a Base Civil Engineer Work Request for Base Information Transport Infrastructure (BITI) construction at Nellis Air Force Base. The work order (No. 23065) covers installation activities in Building 10250, specifically detailing planned construction for a network infrastructure upgrade. The scope includes electrical circuit installation (typical 20/30 Amp), wall and floor mounted cabinet installation, core drilling, and associated minor construction tasks.
Accompanying the work request are supporting documents including an Asbestos and Lead Based Paint Inspection Report by Macrotec Consulting, LLC. The inspection, conducted on 2/24/2014, tested multiple building materials (drywall, wall texture, VCT flooring, floor mastic) in the communications room. Laboratory analysis confirmed no asbestos or lead was detected in the sampled materials. The work is part of a downward-directed Nellis AFB base-wide data network upgrade, with the BITI contractor (General Dynamics) expected to complete the construction activities during the installation phase.
