LOGISTICS SUPPORT (CLS)

SAMPLE TASK 1 – CLS CORE SERVICES

ESTIMATING ASSUMPTIONS

Note to Offerors: Offerors shall use the following estimating assumptions as the basis to prepare its proposal for Sample Task 1. See L.3.3.2.

The following are definitions of services requested. Use the definitions of services, along with the volumes below for determining the level of effort required for this solicitation. (Price shipments and travel for April of each FY.)

Definitions:

Global Supply Chain Management: The origin for all shipments will be at the Offeror’s U.S.

based warehouse and the final destination will be in accordance with the volume matrix below.

Air General: The following is the description of an Air General shipment that shall be used for all programs and all destinations:

Dimensions: 102cm L x 82cm H x 9cm W

Weight: 55kgs

Item Description: Laboratory supplies such as flasks, pipettes, personnel protective equipment

Air Perishable/Hazardous: The following is the description of an Air Perishable/Hazardous shipment that shall be used for all programs and all destinations:

Dimensions: 30cm L x 30cm H x 30cm W

Weight: 20kg

Item Description: Frozen non-hazardous reagents (-9 degrees C)

Shelf Life: 120 days

Surface Containers: The following is the description of a Surface Container shipment that shall be used for all programs and all destinations:

Dimensions: full 40ft container

Weight: N/A

Item Description: Laboratory supplies such as autoclave equipment, fume hoods, pipettes, personnel protective equipment

Surface Breakbulk Shipment: The following is the description of a Surface Breakbulk shipment that shall be used for all programs and all destinations:

Dimensions: 525cm L x 183cm H x 181cm W

Weight: 1500kg

Item Description: Vehicle

Local Delivery: For all Local Delivery shipments for all programs and all destinations, the items being shipped will require an additional 100km ground delivery to a final destination.

The following are definitions for Personnel Logistics Services. The matrix below outlines the volumes expected for each program and country. (Price travel following guidelines established in the Joint Federal Travel Regulations (JFTR), Volume 1 and Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), Volume 2.)

Definitions:

Personnel Logistics Services:

In-Country Support: Supporting personnel traveling in to the origin country specified. The personnel may be coming from the US or another global location. The services are to be rendered in the location specified in the destination column of the matrix. Below is a description of services required:

- 6 personnel will be traveling

- Hotel reservations only (4 days)

- Transportation to-and-from the airport

- 10 hours of interpretation (English/local language) support

- Ground transportation to-and-from a location 50km away

- 1 local cell phone – 300 minutes of usage

Out-of-Country Support: Support provided to personnel traveling FROM the origin country to the destination country specified in the volume matrix. Below is a description of the services required:

- 4 personnel will be traveling

- Paid hotel lodging (5 days)

- Meals, Expenses, and Incidentals per diem (4 days)

- Transportation to-and-from the airport

- Support obtaining visas

- Pay for Foreign National visas

Training Support: Training Support is support provide in order for CTR Programs to conduct training in a foreign location. The location that the training is to be provided is listed in the origin location, and all personnel will provide their own transportation to the training event.

Below is a description of the services required:

- Secure a venue that can support 50 personnel

- Provide paid lodging for 50 personnel (4 days)

- Meals, Expenses, and Incidentals per diem (4 days)

- Ground transportation to-and-from the airport

- Ground transportation to-and-from the venue from the hotel

- 100 page printed training booklets to be used

- 8 hours of interpretation for the training event

The Offeror must also be able to coordinate with a conference support contractor by providing

Out-of-Country Support for personnel attending various conferences.
