The Bureau of Design and Construction (BDC) desires improvements to the Parking Lot at the

Lake Jackson Mounds Archaeological State Park. Specifically, these improvements are to resurface and restripe the existing parking lot. This task also includes location of conduit underneath pavement, with pull boxes to facilitate future construction requiring electricity (such as an electric gate or additional lighting).

The Consultant, Halff Associates, Inc. and their subconsultants (Halff) will provide professional services to complete the topographic survey, design and permitting to prepare bid documents.

Subtask 1 – Base Construction Plans

Description: Halff will prepare and submit Construction Documents for review and use by the

BDC. Documents will include Construction Drawings, any design computations and an opinion of probable construction cost (OPCC). It is anticipated that the following sheets will be required:

• Cover Sheet

• General Notes

• Existing Conditions (Topographic Survey)

• Demolition and Erosion Control Plan

• Erosion Control Notes and Details

• Paving and Grading Plan

• Signing and Striping Plan

• Design Details

The plans will utilize existing topographic survey of the parking area. No geotechnical services are anticipated. Halff will secure one copy of a permit exemption letter from the NWFWMD. If individual permitting is required, additional services will be warranted.

Subtask 1A: 90% Base Construction Plans

Prepare submittal noted above to a 90% level of completion for review by the BDC

Subtask 1B: Final Base Construction Plans

Prepare submittal noted above to a Final level of completion for review by the BDC that incorporates agency comments

Deliverables:

Subtask 1A: One set of draft plans and OPCC will be submitted to BDC for review at the 90% level of completion in the pdf digital format.

Subtask 1B: One (1) Signed and Sealed digital copy of each document (Plans, Computations-if needed) and One Opinion of Probable Cost in PDF format will be submitted to BDC. One copy of a permit exemption letter in pdf format.

Performance Measures: Deliverables will be reviewed by BDC to confirm they are complete, accurate and timely.

Subtask 2 – Limited Construction Services

Description: This task shall include those efforts necessary to assist the BDC during the construction phase of work. The following tasks will be supported during the Construction phase:

Subtask 2A: Pre-Construction Site Visit

Attend the pre-construction conference to be held onsite to review the construction contract, schedule and roles and responsibility of each participating party (DEP, Halff and Contractor).

Subtask 2B: Interim Site Visit (if authorized by BDC)

Attend one (1) site visit to the site to observe site conditions and assess the work in progress as it compared to the plans and specifications. A site visit will be conducted only upon documented request by the BDC. Prepare notes documenting the visit with supporting information such as sketches, markups and/or photographs.
