SUPPLEMENTAL STATEMENT OF WORK
Ford’s Theatre
511 10th Street NW Washington, DC 20004
July 15, 2025 – March 31, 2026
As stated in the Contract’s Base Statement of Work (SOW), this is a Supplemental SOW that identifies the specific requirements for the Task Order concerning unarmed security guard services at the Ford’s Theatre. The Supplemental SOW identifies the specific operational requirements for this Task Order such as the required number of unarmed security guards at the specific Security Post / Screening Site, days and hours of operation, and excludable days. All of the requirements stated in the Contract’s Base SOW apply to each Supplemental SOW, to include, but not limited to, unarmed guard licensing requirements, general and specific personnel requirements, personnel qualifications, security requirements, training, uniforms, personal appearance, grooming standards, and standards of conduct.
Description
Ford’s Theatre (FOTH) is located in Washington, DC. This Security Post is staffed daily between the hours of 1715 to 0845 hours, seven (7) days per week, by one (1) security officer.
The building is comprised of a working theater, bookstore, and museum containing artifacts, as well as National Park Service (NPS) offices, conference rooms, and training classrooms.
Responsibilities and Duties
The purpose of this Security Post is to provide a visible security presence, monitor security and life safety systems, enhance protection for all persons and property within Ford’s Theatre and report any relevant information to the US Park Police (USPP) and the National Park Service
(NPS).
The security officer shall perform their responsibilities and duties in accordance with the performance standards contained in the Contract’s Base SOW and this Supplemental SOW.
The security officer shall be thoroughly familiar with the Security Officer Post Record (Post Orders), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and any Emergency Action Plan pertinent to this Security Post.
The security officer shall conduct random patrols of Ford’s Theatre. While on patrol, the security officer shall ensure all exterior doors are secure and conduct frequent checks of the museum to ensure all artifacts and exhibits are maintained.
The security officer will monitor the video camera systems, security systems, fire alarm systems and visually observe the Peterson House while seated at the guard desk. Any suspicious activity observed shall be reported to the USPP and/or NPS staff as appropriate.
The security officer shall safeguard any government issued property while on duty.
The security officer shall report any relevant information to USPP and/or NPS staff and maintain all activities in an on-site logbook.
The security officer shall prepare and maintain required reports in accordance with the Post Orders regarding security-related issues, such as accidents, fires, bomb threats, unusual incidents, unlawful acts, and any complaints.
The security officer shall provide face to face relief at each shift change and pass along any relevant information to the oncoming shift.
