Transportation – GFMS/RFMS Integrations: Vouchers and billing integrate into GFMS and RFMS from Transportation through a scheduled nightly process Paid work order/bill of lading information are transmitted to GFMS or RFMS depending on whether the shipments are domestic or international. Confirmation of funds is transmitted back to ILMS via the scheduled Domestic eFiling process.
Transportation – PCS Portal Integrations: Traveler profiles and packout information from Transportation and Transportation Lite integrate into the PCS Portal. Part of the Transportation module is Transportation Lite, which includes Plan My Move. The myServices Permanent Change of Station (PCS) module was created for Department of State travelers who do not have access to ILMS and Plan My Move. The Ops team manages the PCS Shipping Page, which mirrors the ILMS Plan My Move module and integrates between the two to retrieve and submit information for new packout requests. Integration between Transportation Lite and myServices is performed through a MID Server. The MID Server is hosted on OpenNet, which allows all data calls to be initiated behind the OpenNet firewall. The MID Server regularly pings (every second) ServiceNow to determine if there is an attempt to send data or retrieve data. When the MID Server reads such a message, it will initiate the data push (from ILMS) or pull (into ILMS). MID Servers exist on OpenNet, but a record exists in the ServiceNow instance to control the MID Server.
Transportation – Microsoft Exchange Server Integrations: Integrations with the Microsoft Exchange server include electronic data interchange (EDI) files from International Through Government Bill of Lading (ITGBL) carriers as well as attachments to shipments. If a shipment is booked via ITGBL, then the carrier will need to send booking information and any attachments so that it can integrate with ILMS. This is carried out nightly using an EDI. The ITGBL carriers will upload a CSV file containing information on each of their Freight Movements onto a shared file directory. A nightly process picks up the data in these CSV files and populates the information into the Freight Movements in ILMS.
Transportation – Syncada Integrations: Syncada 997 and 824 files are very important processes that allows data to be integrated from Syncada into ILMS and crucial to the billing communication and process between Syncada and DOS. Someone from DOS will go into the Syncada system and pull the paid and invoice files for a particular date range, typically just one day, and upload that data into ILMS through the Transportation module.
Transportation Lite – myServices Integrations: Integration between Transportation Lite and myServices is performed through a MID Server. The MID Server is hosted on OpenNet, which allows all data calls to be initiated behind the OpenNet firewall. The MID Server regularly pings (every second) ServiceNow to determine if there is an attempt to send data or retrieve data. MID Servers exist on OpenNet, but a record exists in the ServiceNow instance to control the MID Server.
