/// Guardian RFID Solution Description
This Project will implement the Guardian RFID’s solution for ITS. The ITS solution is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform available to ADCRR staff through standard internet browsers and via Guardian RFID’s SPARTAN devices. As such, the Guardian RFID’s SaaS platform does not require any ADCRR servers or software to provide functionality. The solution does require ADCRR computers running standard browsers. The Guardian RFID SAAS platform will support the most recent versions of standard browsers.
The SPARTAN devices will communicate with Guardian's servers using a ADCRR network which will be installed by iT1. iT1 has designed a complete Cisco Meraki cloud managed network solution that is built on providing operational safeguards, redundancies, and load balancing for the robust services of the Guardian RFID solution today, while including the necessary network backbone and infrastructure for it to be utilize for critical facility functions as needed in the secured area or be quickly expanded for the addition of services in the administrative areas of the facilities.
The solution consists of the following components and capabilities:
· Guardian RFID system
· Mobile Command – software that will be used via Guardian RFID’s SPARTAN handheld devices to execute data collection, identification, and intelligence-gathering tasks in real-time.
· The SPARTAN devices will be used to scan and identify three types of RFID tags:
· Hard Tags – passive RFID devices that do not require power and are wall-mounted (drilled or otherwise attached) to ADCRR correctional facility walls.
· Inmate-worn RFID tags, known as Clincher Extra-Wide, which contain a passive RFID chip which is imbedded into plastic laminate wristbands that are firmly attached to inmates. The wristbands do not require power or batteries.
· Inmate RFID ID cards that are used by inmates temporarily released from custody for various reasons. The RFID ID cards will also be used by ADCRR ITS end users to login to SPARTAN Devices.
· The Command Cloud-based application which can be accessed by any ADCRR-approved desktop or mobile browser, including Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.
· Wi-Fi System
