MEMORANDUM FOR INTERESTED CAF ADAIR PARTIES
FROM: Headquarters Air Combat Command (ACC) Acquisition Management and Integration
Center (AMIC)
SUBJECT: Solicitation No. FA4890-17-R-0007 - Combat Air Forces (CAF) Adversary Air
(ADAIR) Acquisition Update / Additional One-on-Ones / Site Visit
1. The team would like to provide you a quick update on the acquisition and some upcoming events for your awareness and planning purposes.
a. Acquisition Strategy Panel (ASP). There will be an ASP conducted on 11 July 2017 with the Air Force Program Executive Officer for Combat and Mission Support
(AFPEO/CM), Ms. Nancy Andrews. The purpose of the ASP is to communicate the proposed acquisition strategy and receive her approval to proceed with finalizing the required supporting documentation. This is a major milestone on the project’s critical path.
b. Draft Request for Proposals (RFP). We are still on track to post the draft RFP on 24
July 2017. We will also post the updated PWS’, Incentive Plan, and our Risk Analysis. This will give you insight into the areas the team deems critical for mission success. We look forward to your feedback.
c. Additional One-on-Ones. The team would like to brief you on any strategy changes as a result of the ASP, provide an overview of the methodology that will be used to evaluate proposals, and review the PWS’ and draft RFP with you individually to answer any questions, as well as obtain feedback to clarify and/or improve them prior to going final in
December 2017. We plan to allot two (2) hours to each company. The location will be in
Newport News or Hampton VA, 29 – 30 August 2017.
d. Langley Operating Location (OL) Site Visit(s). In conjunction with the one-on-ones, the team will conduct site visit(s) at the Langley OL. We will align your one-on-one with the
OL visit to minimize any extended wait time and need for an extended stay.
2. We will provide the remaining relevant details on the one-on-ones and OL site visit with the posting of the draft RFP. If you are interested in attending the one-on-ones and/or OL site visit, please submit your request to ACCAMIC.DRX.AdversaryAir@us.af.mil no later than 4:00 p.m.
